I don't think there is a thread on this...but I did not check all 57 pages
But anyway, I got this done last summer and it worked really really well! I had puffy, frizzy, curly hair and it looked really nice, smooth, and straight. Here is some info about it:
Since last year, I think I got it re-touched 1 or 2 times (the only bad thing is she charged basically just as much for "touch ups" as the original cost) and I am going back today because my roots have grown in and doesnt look very good right now. So anyway, I would definitely recommend this if you have curly/frizzy/puffy hair like I did. Just be sure to get a really good person to have it done....and oh yeah, it is quite expensive but seriously I think it is worth it because before I would never wear my hair down because I had no way of styling it! Now I can wear it down and it looks so much better.
Has anyone else done it? Good/bad experiences??
And also, I have heard some people say it damages your hair, etc. and one person even said their hair starting falling out or something, but none of this will happen if you get a good person to do it. Even right now, when my roots have grown in and I am starting to get frizz back, it is in no way damaged...it still looks better than before.

Thermal Reconditioning is a revolutionary Japanese straightening treatment that uses heat to restructure the bonds in your hair so the hair lies straight, giving you glossy, smooth, shiny straight hair that requires hardly any blow drying! Thermal Reconditioning originated in Japan and has been practiced in the United States for just over six years. This treatment has been featured in just about every fashion magazine in America. The process produces stunning results that can last from six to ten months.Even better, whatever hair is treated will stay straight permanently and only the re-growth needs touching up!
