But you're absolutely right.. a thread on him is missing!
Too bad Kit is nolonger with us.. he I believe was a big fan and would probably have jumped at the chance to share what he knew about him..

Hanne, I just read in a one thread that you have the fashion, fantasy, fetishism book. Do you have any scans from this? I want to buy it but the cheapest one I can find is £80 on amazon.

No I havent' had time to scan any pictures.. but as I promised eugenius.. I'll see if I can't find the time to scan the best pictures.. .. maybe the two of you could collaborate on making a tribute thread ?

i was just thinking about these two designers (also doing some research on thier work) last week. i was thinking about how great Claude was. He was one of the first designers i knew anything about even though i didnt even know at the time what fashion was, did not live in a country known for its interest in fashion (Jamaica) or that i would have a career as a designer. (i knew his name because my Dad had sent me a motorcycle black jacket with his name running down the left sleeve in red embroidery)
it was about 1987, i still remember the jacket!!!!!!!!!!! i was about 12 at the time, i was already designing my own clothes. even though i could not yet sew and had ambitions of studying medicine.
i still remember thier work from the eighties.
Mugler with his wasp waist and his futuristic angular women.
Claude was my favorite though, his name is special to me. dont want to talk too much about it but i will be thinking about them a lot while designing for fall/winter 2007.
also when i have time i wil try to post some of the material i found in my research
