Thom Browne S/S 2026 Paris

To me his shows are a bit like Kawakubo's. I can appreciate the technical aspect of the clothes, some are very pretty, like the blue coat with red embroidery. However, the whole thing feels so detached from reality that it fails to create any deeper connection and ends up being forgettable.

Unfortunately i am deep into the thom browne world. Always get the old school goosebump vibes in most of his shows. I specially like how he incorporates some of the whimsy things in real clothes that are in the stores. I dont think he takes himself that seriously unlike the moschino guy for example.

Unfortunately his sizes are so limited.

True aliens must be laughing seeing this (while wondering if there is intelligent life in the planet)...

^^^... But did you like?

Fantastically absurd and wickedly inspirational— maybe even aspirational, in all its archaic deadpan, mundane, conservative foundation. It’s what the laziness of currentday Comme, Duran’s Gaultier and Glenn’s Margiela wishes it could conjure. So much bespoke, couturey chaos, brimming alongside its classic references— and all on a cast of creepy adults styled as the even creepier cast of children from The Village of the Damne: Debra Shaw finally being cast in worthy show of her presence. How this is for spring/summer is hilariously unconvincing, but who cares when the absurdity of distorted, warped sizing/proportions/ silhouettes are so well— and maddeningly executed.

Preppies in Wonderland.
