Shoot, I just found a similar thread here. It still isn't the same (especially because it doesn't answer my question about the Anna Molinari ones ), but it's helpful and has some pretty pictures. Let's add to the list of sources and pictures!

ok...i agree about wolford...best clours and feel so soft...but pricey...
look of london has great funky colours and textures
topshop has a slew of them

i will also add fogal...almost as pricey as wolford...but incredible colours...

capezio is great for black tights...about $20 but you can wear them for a whole season...very durable...and half the price of wolford or fogal...

banana republic actually has some great purple and textured tights right now...better in the stores than online...

I get most of my tights at Target. Target has some extremely nifty colored fishnets this year! I also got some sweet striped sweater-tights with a vertical rib. The striped pattern is tan, brown, sage green, white, sky blue, and a very thin black stripe.

They have great black tights with patterns like a cable-knit and one with an argyle pattern.

If you're in the US, eloes, I'd check out your local 2nds stores (I don't know what else to call them- overstock stores maybe?) -stores like Odd Jobs, Big Lots, even TJ Max or Marshalls. In NYC, we have Dee and Dee which is the lower end of these kind of stores and they have tights form the 60s- 70s - 80s- the pakaging is so great and they are cheap! I have alot of differnt kinds- even a pair the color of a yellow highlighter Wolford does make great hosiery, but nylon is nylon and they get snags and runs before they live up to the 30 ++ bucks I spent on them.

PS- I think that the Molinari ones you posted are semi-sheer, so if they have a denier marked, go for #30 or lower

Calvin Klein makes incredibly soft, semi-sheer tights if you find them

I've gotten nearly all of mine from stores around the areas of Queen Street and Kensington market, the stores of which are possibly only be in my city. However, more generally, I find that Bluenotes usually has a decent selection. Also, there's this store called Klick Klak which might be located elsewhere, I'm not too sure.

Anyway, because I have been collecting stockings and tights for several years now, here's my collection. I've seriously got more useless stockings than actual clothing. Except for maybe my equally unpractical vintage dresses... Here they are though, as well as the ones that I wore out today.

But where could I find the Molinari ones? Do you know? I'll look around for alternatives, but I'm curious about finding those. (I've never had the problem of dealing with actually finding/buying something from a runway before ).

I get most of my tights from ebay. I like thick ones - sweater knit, cable, etc. I also like standard opaque tights though. Just nothing sheer black, nude, white or ivory.

I especially like looking for vintage tights. I find that most are very very well made and my theory is that if the tights have survived 40 years without snags, they'll do okay on my legs.

I get mine from thrift stores.. you can find the strangest colors and most obsure looking ones there, because everyone else it too afraid to rock those kinds of things.

Topshop has almost every colour and style, although I'm not into the coloured tight look myself, which seems to be more prevalent on the legs of London girls lately.

I love love love black opaques, I rarely wear a skirt without them.

I also used to have a thing for black fishnets, but they seem to be very seasonal.

OMG , i never saw this thread . I like totaly live in tights all the time . I LOVE , i mEAN LIKE TOTALY LOVE them and my waaaay favs are the super thick ones mom used to make you wear when it was freezing outside . I can't speak for too many places but i get many of mine on Spadina ave and queen St. W. i places like Klick Klak ( i think that'st how it' spelled ) on Queen st. W real close to Spadina Ave. and there is a really great place on Spadina Ave called Precious Creations on Spadina between Dundas and College St. . They have zillions of pairs there . Another desigh i LOVE are a pair i just bought and they had this waaaay awsome rainbow colored design . Alos sometimes , i find them in other stores like Black Market on Queen St. W . and on Yonge St there is another store called Planet Aid .... on Yonge just a teeny weeny bit south of Welsley St . I have dozens and dozens of pairs of tights in all colors and designs .

I love my tights.

Hiyya purplelucrezia , i totaly didn't see you post ... sorry , need to wake up bad . Another place i get lots of my tights is also on Queen St. W . is a store there who's name i forget right now but they sell lots of punk clothing . ( I think they are about two or three strores from klik klak ... the one with the pink store front ) . I bought about 6 pairs of red and black striped tights there a few weeks ago and there is anotheer place also on queen St. W. , just west of Bathurst St. that sells Goth clothing and they have some waaay great tights too . I woiuld love to have a few pairs made with some sort of custon design but i don't know who does it or where , if at all it can actually be done .

Oh , purplelucrezia , if your down there alot , ( i know i am ) you can usually see around , i am the gurl with rainbow hair lots of thee time and my trademark mini red and black kilt / ramones t-shirt . ya , i know , that is only like half the gurls there but look for the gurl with purple crutches ... that would be me .

That's alright, I completely know which store you're talking about. I when in there when I was looking for my white leather watch. I think that they likely wondered what I was doing in there though... And the other, if I'm thinking of the one that you mean, is where I got my black nailpolish.

Oh ya , purplelucrezia. sorry again but the brain is only now turning on ..... .

Another really cool place to get tights , an dya , another place who's name i can't remember is realy close , about two store i think to Black Market on the south side of Queen St. w. . the store that always has these waaay cool legawarmers in thwe window and they sell shoes , mostly running shoes but NOT a chain store . YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUK ... i don't shop in chain stores . I have heard that the skater shop right too has some but i just make it up all those stairs either . Sometimes you can find stuff at a flea market too but not all the time . I find stuff all thee time at vintage clothing shows and stores . there used to be this sooooooooo cool store here a few years ago called MORNIGSTAR that has such awsome stuff but they seems to go out of business . I suspose that if you HAD to have something like NOW , you can go to store like Legs Beautifull but because they are a chain store , i won't shop there .

Despite being a chain store, they actually have a really good selection! Right now they have some pretty and different ones that are mostly blue with this floral design on them. More expensive right now, although I'm hoping they'll come down in price. And not to worry about missing anything.

Another place that really good for getting tights are dance stores like MALABAR where you can get nice thick dance tights and those ever sooo cool shiney ones too . they also come with or with feet . Or if MAlabar IS TOO FAR , THERE IS ALOS TORONTO DANCE WEAR on Wilson ave just east from the Wilson subway . i have a real like for these too and you can also get tights at these store that are almost as tick as legwarmers if you want . ( i have LOTS of them too ) . The only probel with getting anything from a dance store is that they tend to be sort of conservative with thier colors they have but otherwise they are great .

One make that i bought many pairs of where made by TRIMFIT . They where the thick cable knit kind used alot with school uniforms but i don't think they are made any more . If you want the same type of style , Mondor makes them now and they are totaly great . Leg Avenue now makes one that havee sooooooo many great colors and what i love are the ones with LOTS of colors on them .

I dunno about there, I have to admit I was actually kind of disappointed with what they had... As you said, more actually practical dance stuff, so now that great a selection of different colours. One thing they did have though- not of much use to the majority of people, but- good, cheap white face powder. Unlike the stuff you get at regular makeup stores, it's better quality because it's for performers.

purplelucrezia , do you wear them in the summer too or in the summer do you like wearing over knee's ? I tried a few times to wear them , especialy my fav colors red and black but i was just comfortable with the look . I tried thicker over knees too with the same designs as i have on the tights ( cable knits ) but again the comfort was just not there for me ( they looked fine but .... ) . Do you wear them with boots like DRs. or with running shoes or what ?

purplelucrezia , i had this waaay crazy thought . Have you ever tried to tie die any of your thick tights in a zillion colors at the same time ? I just tried it and it came out OK but could have been better . I have to get some more tomorrow anyway i found on Spadina Rd. but i have the funny feeling that i may have to alter them a wee bit . Hmmmmm , another crazy idea running through my head . heheheeeeeeee .....
