I don't think Tiiu is too old in the fashion industry's eyes. In fact, she's probably the perfect age now considering how young she started. However, I do think she's losing relevancy, now that new younger models like Ali Stephens, Toni Garnn, Ali Michael, Siri, etc. have become todays flavor of the month. Think of all the girls from Tiiu's modeling generation-- Hana, Marija, Caroline Winberg, Elise Crombez etc. They're all slowly disappearing from the limelight. The only girls from that generation that have maintained some sort of longevity are Daria, Julia Stegner, Gemma, Stam, Lily Donaldson, Raquel.

Bottom line is that Tiiu is still young enough to resuscitate her career. She has many more years of modelling left in front of her. BUT she has to make sure she joins the right agency (and maybe she should refresh her look), so that she gets more quality work for the rest of those years. The same way Cameron left Ford for DNA, Tiiu needs to do the same. If she does, I'm sure we'll see more of her.

I agree, she needs to sign with IMG like Hana did. Hana is still doing well actually.
And by the way Siri is 20 years old Only a year younger than Tiiu. But she has a very youngish look, which is what designers are searching for these days.

I don't know if IMG would be the right move for Tiiu. IMG is so big, and they have so many girls. Nicole Trunfio, Caroline Winberg, Jaunel went from Women to IMG, and that did nothing for their careers. Same with Marija... and I suspect the same for Hana. I think Tiiu should go to a smaller, boutique agency... like DNA or Women. She needs to get her cool cred back, and linking up with DNA will hopefully do that.

actually the 1st period of Marija @ IMG (before 2007) was pretty interesting, she had a great SS07 season and some nice editorials at the end of 2006

i don't think it would change anything if Tiiu moves from Major, i doubt she would instantly get work in big fashion magazine thereas they hardly used her when she was on top

any update on this? is she still with major or has she moved on to a cooler agency?

I have to say, I'm quite dissapointed with Tiiu.. I've just looked through the enitre thread and she's not done anything special. Her editorials are few and not very inspiring or special.. although I've been obsessed with her for some years now, so I still like her a lot, but I wonder if her bad jobs are due to bad modelling or that she's been casted for unfairly (boring editorials)??

yes, i have to agree. a photographer needs to take tiiu under his/her wing, to help craft and develop her modelling skills so she becomes a more versatile model. The way Steven Meisel took on girls like Doutzen and Coco and made them superstars. Or inez and vinoodh with Jessica Miller. she needs more range. more intensity in her pictures. Sometimes tiiu only gives off one look. then again, a girl like Hana only gives one look too, but she's had more success. Perhaps it's her agency. Her agency also needs to edit and carefully select what she does and doesn't do.
