you guys!! i just discovered,following the sally potter expo toward the end of the summer,they did in fact re-release orlando as a special edition DVD/blu-ray in august. i had absolutely no idea. went to my bookshop and got it yesterday! so glad i was finally able to get a physical copy.

And have been missing the divine Tilda; i love seeing her on the red carpet and havent seen much of her since that Clooney film. For which she won the oscar right? Anyhow, hope to see more of her; she rocks.

Imo, kate lanphear owes a lot of her look to swinton. B) but they both rock.

^i think a lot of people owe tilda due-credit. take lanvin for instance....after tilda wore lanvin the year she won the oscar and when she presented the year after,i noticed that a lot of other actresses started wearing it to events. and look what she's done for haider ackermann.

as far as the work she's been doing since michael clayton,actually last year she was in by far the best film of 2010,imo,called 'i am love'. and tilda could very well be up for another statuette for the film.

you know,with tilda,she's that rare character.....in everything she does,it never comes across as something contrived or that she's 'slaving' for fashion. she also doesn't seem to dress to impress,that's why it always feels like you get her not some poseur playing dress-up. she has such a wonderful sense of effortlessness and this way of manipulating fashion in such a way that you almost feel the things she wears were created exclusively and only for her. she's our modern incarnation of dietrich,if you ask me.

spot on. it's unbelievable to what extent she's bulletproof to any fashion "boxes". she looks so out of time/date with her fashion choices and yet perfectly timeless, if you get this oxymoron that is.
