it's a relatively long-established label by the designer Takeo Kikuchi who used to work for Bigi. have you seen Bruce Lee wearing skinny jackets? some of them were from Bigi. and Taishi Nobukuni took over his post in S/S 04.raijin said:Julius, a local japanese brand.
Runner, do you know anything about Takeo Kikuchi?
I saw one of his suits in a magazine and it looked cool
Incredibly slim cut with skinny arms.. even more so than when dior homme was at its slimmest cut.
National Standard is dead!? That really saddens me! I loved their stuff. I follow the japanese fashion fairly closely but this is real news to me. I'm going to have to bust out some magazines and books and share some National Standard stuff. They were one of my favorite japanese brands.Spacemiu said:With any domestic brand that attracts even a whiff of success invariably defecting to foreign fashion capitals at the earliest opportunity, the ranks of Japan's top-level designers who show here are constantly thinning; while the sluggish economy kills off several labels each season. The latest of these victims has been National Standard, the teeny pret-a-porter experiment from UNIQLO operator Fast Retailing.
