I think Haider is one of the very few designers I actually can’t stand (also Raf Simons). He is so pretentious, so corny and so intense. He thinks he is an artist for sure, he tries to come across as tortured and poetic. I can’t.
That said, I think it was okeyish as a HA collection. Zero Tom Ford though. But it’s impossible to do Tom Ford if you are not Tom Ford (well, the previous guy did it actually). It’s just too much of a recent brand. It doesn’t even make sense.
There were some good garments here and there but it feels just like that, like simple cute garments. No fashion. Like a tone down show from him in 2010.
To me they are the opposite as designers. Tom Ford is all about hedonism, feeling beautiful, sexy, energy… HA designs for ugly women (which is ok) that actually want to be ugly (which is also ok), women that are not sexy deliberately, probably hate men and kind of believe that are better than the rest in an intellectual way. The TF woman thinks she’s sexier than the rest but just that.
