Fashion is fashion, not hype, hype is a part of marketing, wich is a part of the industry.



I fail to see how making some thing 'hot and desirable' makes him the msot important designer of the past 10 years.

EXACTLY. Fashion is an art not an industry. I believe Tom Ford brought back to Gucci but I also believe he made Gucci the big 'hype' again, he's a business man with a little bit of creativity. I may not like him, but he's a businses man, and a damn good one at that.
