and here i thought that was the dior homme look...

I thought Dior Homme was more 'Down and out', bohemian child of the night stroke generic-artsy-musician-type-person crack-wh*re?

why does dior have to be generic? If anything is generic its Ford recreation of sleezy lounge las vegas scene.

skinny, pale, dark....?...

i'll take two please... :innocent:

As it happens I am skinny, pale and dark (and I constantly get compared to seventies rockstars who are old enough to be my dad) and it's a look I quite like (well I would wouldn't I?) but that's not the point - the Dior muse is a generic musician/artiste skinny-pale-dark type.

very very true... i would take it as a complement, maybe cause i am one of those kids (minus the generic, i hope).

I love this topic...I am so annoyed by so much about him like "The fashion world says goodbye to a great leader" (Tim Blanks) WTF....there are so many designers who are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better them him....ok so perhaps he was doing 7284239 houses at a time, but does that make you a leader?

That is true though...

It's surprising that almost nobody knows about Walter Albini, the man who virtually bought Italian pret-a-porter into existence, and here we are talking about Tom Ford.

I don't think anybody believes that he brought Italian ready-to-wear into existence, but he played a huge role in reviving one of the oldest luxury houses while at the same time changing the entire scene that was going on in fashion at the time.
