Tom Ford : Life after Gucci

Can I just ask why he left Gucci? Im so confused about his departure....lol. And did Frida Gianni take over right away and do the next collection or did someone else do it?

Thanks

At that time he had large disagreements with Gucci's renewed management team (read: he was smoked out). At first Ford was replaced by Alessandra Facchinetti, who didn't last at her post for a long time. After this Gucci was divided into two division, men's & womens apparel, lead by Frida Giannini & John Ray. John Ray took off in 2006 & Giannini's been creative director of both mens & womens division.
ps. When I mentioned gucci's management team, I outruled Domenico De Sole out of it, as he was behind Ford & his vision all the time. Please do correct me & add any relative information, as my reply was written in a small haste. :)

tom darlin... i love your work... but you were a little bit to harsh/stupid here...
you know what the difference is? they work... you dont! and that hurts your huge huge ego!

he is good looking but seems so much stuck up and looks down on people. i hope my feeling is wrong!

I did realy like Gucci but now that Frida is holding the reins I have no complains the line is so much more refreshing, soft ,and delicate. Also don't you hate how he wears his shirts open wih that hairy crap sticking out ...DAMM GET A WAX!!!!!!!!!

When Tom is with Gucci and YSL, i guess all the white shirts, tux and suits are from his own designs with both the houses. Now, what is he wearing?

i watched him on the Sundance channel's series called The Iconoclasts a while back. i must say that i was very disappointed. it seemed that every comment or question he presented to Jeff Koons was as banal and predictable possible. i expected him to be so much more interesting.

These are some pics I found on this thread and googling on the internet of Tom Ford's house in Bel Air designed by Richard Neutra in 1955.

Being a fan of Mr. Ford and an enthusiast of modern architecture and modernism aesthetic in general, I was wondering if someone could have some other pics of this house...
I'd really appreciate it, thanks!

all af this time with only that small picture of Julia, wondering how the bottle was going to be like, and well, i thought it was going to be a bit more delicate, it looks too masculine for that ads feminine poise and hair but well, now i´ll have to wait until trying it but i seriously think i won´t suit my taste, sounds like a rather strong scent and please!, let those notes of patchuli be imperceptible.

I beleive I read in an article that he has his clothes custom made because he cant find anything he likes otherwise

I thought his men's line was supposed to have been out by now. Does anyone know what's going on with that?
