Sometimes in interviews, it's how he comes across to me. Also, some can interpret his image as cheap/sleazy.

just because he's homosexual does not mean he can't be sleazy or misogynistic. In fact, his sexual unattraction to women may make it easier to degrade them and see them as objects he can use for his own disgusting publicity. Just my opinion...

I just realized that my thread on Tom Ford in the Style section has been merged with the "Tom Ford after Gucci thread". How come? i saw a Galliano thread in the Style section of the forum...so then why cant we have a TF thread too....TF is way more stylish than Galliano.

Plus Gucci is so over...Is Tom forever going to be identified as only "ex Gucci designer"... Its time he got his own self named thread

One last q...what will warrant opening a new thread on TF? Forexample, there are individual threads for each collection by certain designers (Eg John Galliano S/S 06 collection is a seperate thread). shouldnt that and all Galliano related items and news also be clubbed into one "Galliabno" thread ? or do we open threads when something "new" happens?

Fashion NEEDS its provocateurs. If everyone started designing like Ralph lauren or Prada, it would indeed become a boring and sex-less fashion scene.

i also agree with his POV that violence in society is whats to be more feared. whereas we normally look at sex as being evil, rather than the prevalent violence in society.

Agreed!!! You are so right, Fashion does need its provacateurs. We would be soooo bored looking at ralph all day. Tom Ford transformed gucci, injected it with sex and thats why itwas so loved!

I personally have not yet finalized my opinion on him as a person, i love him as a designer, thats all!
