Tom Ford S/S 2025 Milan

He just GETS the Tom Ford legacy. He knows which codes to refine. He definitely leans into repetitiveness so I hope he can introduce some new different elements.

A shame there's no show.

This is Haider Ackermann's first Tom Ford Collection?

Can't be. Too early.

It’s all so highend junior department-store. And these mousey Emily Ratajkowski types need to go first and foremost.

This would be gorgeous if it were knee-length. As it is, it’s too Cavalli:

Thank god it wasn’t on the runway because I would have been terribly annoyed but the photos and the energy of the lookbook is fabulous.
It actually shows that Peter wasn’t fully in charge. All the Tara bags and everything…

I actually like look 2, look 4 and the white blouse with the white skirt.
The color palette is very Tom Ford by Tom Ford.
I actually think that the studio has managed well to include things from the last few years of Tom and what Peter introduced.

I may buy something from this.
Now, I’m eager to see Haider’s work.

Always fond of TF. One of the few brands left that understands what women want to wear and what (straight) men want to see women wear, which is rare given the present state of the fashion industry.

These pieces aren't really new or original enough to warrant the money, time, and effort of renting a venue, sending out invites, and putting on a show, but they're good clothes none the less and I actually quite respect the restraint to not do the whole parade for this collection, good judgment which these new and far less established brands woefully lack.

The lookbook is really quite weak. I wonder why they passed on a show. Tom Ford is all about the GLITZ.

WWD's review confirms that this collection was designed by the studio. Ackermann is already working at TF, but he debuts in February.
Tom Ford Spring 2025: Back to Sexy Svelte Basics
With the house in-between designers, the studio team reestablished the brand's codes.

“Haider” was the name on everyone’s lips walking through the Tom Ford showroom on Thursday in Milan.

Haider Ackermann, the house’s new creative director, is already hard at work, presumably figuring out how to imprint his signature lyrical tailoring on his first Tom Ford collection, which will be presented in Paris in February.

In the meantime, spring 2025 was a studio effort. And as a baseline to reestablish the codes of the house, it more than delivered, mining the sexy, svelte 1960s and 1970s aesthetic that put Ford on the fashion map in a concise commercial collection with lots of great-looking sheer knits, liquid jumpsuits and blouses open to the navel over skimpy fringe skirts and short shorts — all in pale makeup shades, black and ivory.

The team didn’t dwell too long on the classic daytime tailoring of the Peter Hawkings era, but did include the slim leather blazers, trousers and playsuits, silky cargo pants, bombers and drawstring shorts with “Tom Ford” branded underwear peeking out, that the brand has been trading in during recent years in Los Angeles and beyond. Not forgetting accessories: The team brought back the padlock heel and introduced a new shape of its bestselling Tara handbag.

And they didn’t skimp on the eveningwear, offering a pistachio green featherweight metal sequin minidress ready for a stage, a silver metal fringe bandeau bound in snakeskin fit for a pop princess over low slung pants, and Lurex tuxedo tailoring begging for Ackermann’s touch. Soon enough.
