Tommy Hilfiger S/S 2020 London

After the beautiful and on brand Zendaya collection, he just said F**** the clothes!
I just see a whole bunch of nothing orchestrated by the marketing team...Making sure, at the same time that all the boxes of « social narrative » are checked!
The preppy part could have been interesting but the most important thing here is for people to really get that Hilfilger is FOR THE PEOPLE!

As the influence of Hip-Hop can’t be denied anymore, please remember that rappers used to rock Hilfiger back in the days and that no matter if you are big, skinny, black, white, old, young...Hilfiger is for you! And if you want more proof, just look at our runway show!

And if it wasn’t enough, there’s the Woke merch! Because you know what? Loyalty is the key word! More than inclusivity, Feminism and all the random words used, loyalty is attached to a sense of community!

A whole bunch of nothing. Tommy is in the same group as Karl Lagerfeld. Both brands are cash-cows and I wouldn’t be surprised to know that Tommy’s involvement is similar to what Karl’s was...But at least, Karl was class enough to not be so obvious with the tackiness of his cash-cow namesake brand.
