Toronto Fashion Week F/W 07.08

I say they try and get some of the bigger Canadian models to donate their time and help the FDCC next fashion week in created a name for Toronto in the fashion world. I'm thinking Daria would do it if asked!

heather marks has been there, lisa cant, maria dvirnik, and yasmine warsame^

created a bit of hype that season..but didnt really do much to create a name for toronto in the fashion world

^uh-huh, but she was too busy to come back this season...
and believe me guys, some people are working on bringing Daria back.^_^

Donate? That would be really unfair I think. And one star model does not a cast make. The FDCC first of all isn't really all that non profit. And they should find a better sponsor becaue L'oreal seems to be doing nothing except providing a hair/makeup team.

Honestly L'oreal fashion week is more of a pain in the model's ***es than it is a lucrative week. It's so disorganized and so under funded.

I do admit Izzy was fantastic, and so was dixon. But it's just designers like that, that take it really seriously that make the week worth it.

Does anyone have Pink Tartan? (Here's hoping they'll continue showing in Toronto and brighten the week like crazy...)

I wasn't too thrilled with Pink Tartan. It was an Invite Only show and so as we were trying to get in (with our invites) we were being SHOVED by a moshh of people trying to flood through the doors. It was crazy, and really, not worth it this season. It was definately too much for the volunteers to handle. One of the things they needed was more volunteers, many many more. The stage also wasnt set up properly, models were falling over left and right.

^^ To better describe the whole "models falling over" situation... you can see in the photos how the runway is made very thin? It was made for the models to just walk down one at a time, there was no turning around and walking back on the same runway, after the photograph was snapped, they continued to walk forward. The stage was curved so that it cut between the first row and the rest of the seating rows for them to walk back. Right at the curve it seems there was a gap, ALL of them tripped at least once.

Zoran Dobric ... I really loved it! As I stated in my review, you probably could NOT pull off head to toe in Zoran but as Robin Kay did on the last day, pair one piece off with something super casual IMO...
