Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Haley Bieber, all these "beauty billionaires".

The best was Kylie putting her Kardashian spin on it, by first getting publicity for appearing on the Forbes cover, then getting even more publicity for the very serious matter of allegedly having provided incorrect financial proof to the magazine - as if we didn't all know that covers are generally bought.

She could invest part of that 1 billion from selling Rhode into an intensive posing course, so we could finally see a decent photo of her someday.

How is she a beauty innovator?
$1B beauty brand within it's first 3 years of existence.
How is this not a beauty innovation?

She's tapped into accessibility with her products unlike others who failed in the beauty game.

Success doesn't necessarily equate to innovation. Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and Kylie Jenner all had rapid success on a similar scale. It's a formula, albeit one she executed successfully. Not trying to take that away from her.

I guess one could argue that her products are innovative. I don't think so. Rhode's hero products aren't concepts the company invented. Basically, she took Korean beauty trends and helped popularize them in the US. I think her timing has been great. She actually cares and seems passionate about her brand, and since she herself is massively influential in terms of her "clean girl" aesthetic, it follows that she's able to move product.

Ok, so she has a successful business? How is that innovation?

Never minded the sight of Hailey Bieber, but WSJ. Magazine lost its spark the moment Kristina O'Neill left, and this just ain't it. I dislike the concept of the shoot, the building blocks, and the fact that she's not engaging with us readers; the list goes on...
