Transparency S/S 07

Also transparent panel inserts (CdG)

LV makes transparent bags called "boarding bags":-))

I think it's very pretty if used correctly and can be very sexy - revealing skin without actually baring all. But it can get very tacky too and I especially loathe transparent plastic shoes and bags.

I definitely like this when layered over something opaque. It's a way to cover up without adding heat and looks very breezy and feminine.

I like it in the light fabrics, and I like the colored pieces, like the purple in the YSL show. Some of it looks really naughty though, and I guess that's the point, but I don't like when you see a granny panty outline under sheer fabric. The transparency works well as an accent, but it should only be on top of something that's appropriate in itself. Do I sound like an old maid?
I also HATE transparent plastic accessories. These "naked" bags from all these designers are driving me nuts  .

I agree with drusilla, it can look really nice layerd over opaque clothes. But I don't like the plastic fabrics.

i was trying to edit my post and say that it reminded me of the 90's too actually...:p...

I agree. I remember wearing some shirts with "transparent" sleeves in the 90s.

^ so true, I forgot about them! Printed shirts with puffy, flimsy transparent sleeves with cuffs! :)

I wore those too. :D

I don't know if I like this as a trend, especially the shoes. Transparency can be nice sometimes in some pieces though.
