Is anyone else feeling the Trapeze Line? I like how it's retro but very fresh at the same time, it sort of mod without being obvious.
In 1958 YSL succeeded Dior and produced his first collection The Trapeze Line. The triangular trapeze shape was the backbone of his collection, and was considered the most important and fully formulated line in Paris. It flared gently from narrow shoulders to a shorter wider hemline just covering the knees. By autumn, the rest of Paris had adopted this length.
