Some of it I like. Though I do think that it was done much better at the Balenciaga f/w 07 collection...
I do like the simple details and Yigal Azrouël, and the fabric used at Proenza Shouler...

i freaking LOVE it at oscar..

oscar is the BEST show of the season...
maybe the best show of his career imo...

you spotted this early tine...:flower:

The Oscar De La Renta stuff is excellent. The Ohne Titel accessories are great aswell. Not too keen on the Proenza and Vera stuff.

Ever since viewing the historic 1967 'Africa' collection by YSL, I've loved tribal inspired pieces.

exactly what i was thinking!! the new shows are very 1970's inlfurenced and i can help think YSL when i looked at all these gorgoeus pics!

Adorefaith - That Tahari collection is definitely tribal inspired... the styling is a bit odd... took the Talitha Getty look far too srsly... :ermm:

The birkenstocks @ Phillip Lim are adorable! :crush:

DVF completely missed the mark on this one...

Stefano Pilati seems like a likely candidate for this, I think. He's been doing it for awhile, his resort efforts especially.

I became obsessed with tribalism last winter, and my enthusiasm for it has yet to die.

I think it's because you can do so much with it.

Love Vera's take on things, personally.

yes the styling is odd..i agree...
there are some nice individual pieces though imo...
i also dont think the model is right for the clothes...
and the hair / makeup is bad too...

this might be a bit off limits....but i think it ties back into this 'trend'...
i was in the s/s 2008 makeup thread...
and this makeup at zero maria cornejo seems 'tribal' to me...in a way...
what do you guys think?....
