the oscar is the best i've seen from him in recent memory..
i like the departure from things that are just pretty and elegant..
the tribal influence toughens the looks up a little bit, but they still look great

I find alot of their things a bit tribal...
not just this season.

The Oscar collection is really amazing as alot seem to agree....
Esp. love the hats but I don't think I could quite pull those off.
The dresses from Vera are nice too...
reminds me of my mom in the summer.

So, it's continuing overseas
I think it seems a bit more toned down in London, and not as in your face as I think it might have been in NY... Though I did like it in NY, and I think my favorite so far is Oscar de la Renta, especially the bags. !

I'm very glad that everyone agrees on Oscar De La Renta. He worked it with the great fit and shapes. The accessories were wonderful. I am always disappointed in Diane Von Furstenburg's shows but a bit more this season. Nothing worked. I always have to wait for things to come out in stores to see if I like them.

I absolutely love the tribal trend! The deep earthy colors plus the contrasting shots of bright colors is a great idea! I really love these high-end designers interpretations of tribal art and design. Though, I'm interested to see how it will transcend into street style.
