Tsumori Chisato ( 津森千里 ) was already huge in Japan and the rest of Asia before she moved to Paris. I can't say I am a big fan of her design, but this collection is really nice. I am just curious why there hasn't been more coverage of her and her work in the US, since she certainly has been doing things you rarely see anywhere else in either Europe or America. I remember Style.com only covered her shows for once or twice, and this season they didn't even mention her at all. I think she has a boutique in Paris, doesn't she?

I didn't even know she had a boutique in Paris, because I usually go to HK to buy her stuff where her clothes have a broader appeal. Her design does tend to have a cutesy aesthetic and are shaped in such a way that flatters and appeals to the asian customer I think. Not to say, she doesn't have her fans in US and Europe but when I mention her to my fashiony friends (non-Asian), I do end up drawing a blank!

Perhaps she has a v. bad US/European PR rep, because I hardly EVER see her clothes featured in magazines (Dazed and Confused a couple of times) over here and I rarely ever read any press about her whereas in Asia, I see her clothes featured all the time.

^ Thanks for the info! If it wasn't for TFS I probably wouldn't have gotten to know her work either, which seeing this collection, is wonderful! It reminds me of a better detailed and refined version of Anna Sui
Anyway, I especially love her choice of colors...this is such a needed unique collection among a relatively mundane season.

I stumbled upon some of her pieces on eBay (not sure if they were authentic, though) and i LOVED them. Is Paris really the only place you can buy this?

^Like I said....Asia stocks Tsumori widely! I get usually buy it on sale in the I.T. sale store in HK..... they seem to have a wide selection.

In London, I can only get it at Selfridges (sometimes not even there) and Liberty.

Anyways, looooove the igloo setup, that is so cute..... The colour palette is just lovely..... The designs are very her..... I particularly like this one:

I bought a tsumori chisato wallet months ago
its wayyyy too cute
and everytime i take the wallet out, ppl they go, wow, where is this from?

then I could tell from the look that they dont have a clue lol

this collection is very yummy to me

I've been wearing Tsumori since her very first independent collection, and for me she is perhaps the only designer who has never ever had a disappointing season. Wonderful, she knows herself really well and has an unerring eye. I'm so glad she's doing well outside of Japan now!

On Gothersgade opposite Lot 29, there is a store, Luberol I think. It sells some pieces. Also a tiny collection on La Redoute
