i read in local newspapers that in year 09, there will be a movie that will be like the end of Twin Peaks, cos the ending was rather confusing.
Since, i don't believe too much in Serbian press does anyone have any further info?
i found nothing on imdb...
answer please, i loved the show and would really like to know if there will be this movie.

I havent heard of anything like this. I love Twin Peaks too, and the town is was filmed in, North Bend, WA is just about 20 minutes from the house I grew up in.

OMG
That would be CRAZY!!
But they couldn't replace cooper or anyone......its been almost 20 years since they filmed it though and their cast might look a little old??
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
i wish david lynch would do another television series...........

well, it said that they already have the movie from the 90's, but cos of some reasons, it never got out.
like, david would only have to be part of montage, they have everything filmed.
but,as i said... it's just serbian press. and people here really loved the show and the movie.

I absolutely love Twin Peaks (and David Lynch). This rumour sounds very unlikely to me.

Maybe they are releasing Fire Walk With Me in Serbia?

nope, that was on tv thousands of times...
the papers made it up,since no one in any other country heard about it....

If somebody could persuade Lynch it was a good idea, it would happen - but I think he's simply moved on to numerous other projects, including his art, and spreading the word about transcendental meditation (I went to an audience with him a while back where he spoke about this).

'Fire, Walk With Me' didn't do well at the box office, but that's not how all films work these days, he could release Twin Peaks material in some other form or method of distribution and get a good response from it. He's already been doing that with a lot of his recent work.

Because he works so much on his own whim, and according to his own ideas, the answer to whether we'll ever see that material lies entirely in Lynch's own head. He did a lot more work for Dune than we've ever seen, who knows how much of his work has yet to see the light of day!

You could always go to his website and try to email him yourself, you never know, you might get a response.

It was David's birthday yesterday. He's 63. I'm sure he said after Inland Empire that he only wanted to shoot on DV from now on because it allows so much more freedom.

But Twin Peaks wasn't only Lynch. Mark Frost had a big creative input, probably more in the second season when I think Lynch lost interest!

Aye, and because David is such a savvy self-publicist - with his trademark hair and strange manner of talking - his collaborators never get any credit on the same scale, because everyone wants to know about the mad director who's larger-than-life, not the guy who's working hard to make everything come together.

Anyhow, I've just found a news story that echoes what mj read...

Lynch hopeful over 'Twin Peaks' scenes

Sunday, November 30 2008, 17:22 GMT
By Ben Rawson-Jones, Cult Editor

David Lynch has revealed that an array of deleted scenes from cult movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me may finally be released.

Twin Peaks fans have spent years campaigning for the scenes to be made available from the 1992 spinoff movie, which functioned as both a prequel and sequel to the iconic television series.

A number of regular characters from the show were excised from the final cut of Fire Walk With Me, which caused consternation among fans at the time.
Co-creator Lynch recently told WYNC.org that he is hopeful of a release.

"Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is owned by a company called MK2 in France," he said, "and I spoke to them a couple of months ago. I've spoke to them several times about this... [and] I think it will happen."

However, Lynch added that the recession could prolong the wait, saying: "Maybe the financial crisis is affecting that in some way. I'm not sure what's going on. I'm pretty sure there's 17 scenes in that at least but its been a while since we've looked into that."

So it seems David has been thinking about it, and the Serbian newspapers aren't as far off the point as was thought. It's not quite a movie, but it might add up to an interesting short film.

I do think, if enough people get in touch with Lynch in some way, and get him inspired on the subject, there may be a result.

Very interesting. If he can get the rights maybe he'd put it on his website.

Never seen Twin Peaks...

Could somebody give me a summary in a sentence on what the series is about?

:flower: I may want to add it to my Netflix queue..

Erin, it is a masterpiece... you have to see the show.
it all seems normal, well regular at the beginning. small town, young girl's body found, her friends and family, well the whole town is in shock... then you realize that nothing is normal, and that everyone's hiding something...
it is fight of good and evil but also the show has some lovely love scenes. they are the honest ones.
OMG... watch the show!!!!

The music, by Angelo Badalamenti, was also good, often darkly hypnotic and sometimes quite sad.

The show explores the twisted heart of small town America, the psychological secrets that people keep inside their own heads, secrets unseen even by themselves. It's a different viewing experience than you get with most shows - it's impossible to make total sense of it, so you have let go and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of it.

It's best reserved for night-time viewing, when you're more open to strange ideas and dream sequences where people are talking backwards.

Oh we're talking about the deleted scenes? There's a myspace URL for this-

I've been following it since I added them to my friends, but didnt connect it to m.j.'s question...check it out!

Fire Walk With Me is what happened before Laura Palmer (the main focus in the film) was found dead, and so some say you should watch the entire TV series and then see the movie. When FWWM was released in theaters in 1992 people were confused, and overall "WTF" because it was so bizarre, and different than the TV series, though I love it, and have it on my TIVO and watch it often.

I'm obsessed with Laura Palmer, and I have read her Secret Diary book, penned by Jennifer Lynch, so many times. I wish it could go on forever...the book is written from her perspective, her diary entries, from when she is 12 years old all the way up to a few days before she dies.

She writes about getting a pony, being abducted by BOB (Beware Of Bob), her sexual fantasies, her drug use, how lost she has become, its quite addictive.

I really hope the FWWM scenes are released. There's so much left out of the film that is most likely incredible footage.

oh, the music... it is just so beautiful.
on the other hand, this Cooper wanna be is really irritating.

I loved Twin Peaks, I would not miss one single episode, but I have to say all the by products the series have been absolutely terrible, I hope this is not the case again.

And now Kyle MacLachlan is thinking about it, reports Digital Spy:

MacLachlan to resurrect 'Twin Peaks'?

June 16 2009

Kyle MacLachlan has revealed that he wants to resurrect Twin Peaks, according to reports.

The Desperate Housewives star, who played Special Agent Dale Cooper on the cult TV series, said that he would like to bring the show back as an internet mini-series, says Contactmusic.

He said: "I have a crazy idea to bring back Twin Peaks on the net as five-minute webisodes."

MacLachlan said that creator David Lynch would most likely not be involved with the new version, as he is busy advocating for meditation techniques. He added: "David's focus is more on transcendental meditation now."

Earlier this week, the actor admitted that he was never approached to reprise his role of Trey MacDougal for the Sex And The City movie franchise.

Twin Peaks ran on ABC from 1990 to 1991 and spawned prequel theatrical film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me in 1992.
