Ugly Betty - ABC's Primetime Show

Is it just me, or does Betty wear a lot of Prada from the spring/summer 08 collection? Maybe it's just Prada-inspired, but looks a lot like it to me...

I'm watching Ugly Betty now. Some of you may have made some references to ugly Betty in some of my posts in the Trend Spotting thread. It's a very funny show as well as a fairly good drama. I forgot what the term is for a comedy that's also a drama.

Though this is the Entertainment thread (this is my debut in this forum), I've been watching "Ugly Betty" for about the same reason I've seen "Sex and the City" - fashion. My favorite personality style-wise is Betty's mom, whom I've learned is Ana Ortiz. She's a beautiful actress with a nice sense of style that I've slowly grown to love. She was sporting some lovely high-waist jeans or pants from tonight's episode. Also, the beautiful America Ferrera who plays "ugly" Betty Suarez has a little lovely style of her own. There are some looks of hers on the show that are actually very nice to me. Something I read online is that the aspect of Ugly Betty America doesn't like too much is too much layered clothing.

I like this show for comedy as well as the fashion. Tonight's episode was very cool.

Kimmie's storyline was a great addition to the show---it lets Betty be a little mean at times instead of so damn good all the time---but I am curious to see how Betty's love life will play out this season. So many unexpecteds this season so far.

oh great. because she's been sooo hard on betty in this last episode ....
i was really hoping for something good btw those 2 .... but it didn't happen .... ....

oh and please could they make Betty's nephew a little less sissy .... i know at this age, it's hard being gay blablabla. but c'mone being gay doesn't mean having all those gimmicks.
oh and i hate his new style ....

but i'm pretty sure he's about to date this guy from his class, don't you think ? and it's gonna be a big drama .... because the other guy doesn't want people to know he's dating a BOY .... blablabla ....
but that could be hot.

Tonight's "Ugly Betty" should be a good one. I'll be sure to check it out as well as take note of the styles expressed. Not to mention get a good laugh, of course.

This Ugly Betty was cool! Another funny episode as well as some nice styles expressed. Here's my little style report.



Betty wore some nice accessories sporting a red belt with red tights and some cute mary janes pumps. Mary janes are my favorite femme shoes. Kind of interesting how the tights and the belt match the color of Betty's glasses. Wilhelmina wore a lovely blue dress with short puffy elbow sleeves. Blue is my favorite color, and that dress looked lovely. Ana Ortiz looked pretty lovely again. Her cropped green wrap blouse was very nice along with some blue jeans. Later, she had a nice one-shoulder top along with some kind of animal print skirt with some strappy sandals. Lindsay Lohan had on a lovely indigo skirt on.



It was a nice episode with some styles I liked. I'm becoming a fan of Ana Ortiz as far as style goes. She's also a funny character as well.

I loved the latest Ugly Betty episode Adriana Lima looked stunning. Amanda looked good too, her and marc are so funny, never fail to make me laugh.

sooo happy she got fired .... though i pretty liker her styling ....
and just figured out what kind of 80s jackets ghesquière reworked for his "all about shoulders and flowers" collection ....

and oh this Adriana Lima stuff was, i think, shot when they also shot the vogue paris' story .... as it was in NYC and her finger was hurt, as well ....
i now understand what someone said when talking about the come-back of adriana ....

I didn't like Kimmie in that Balenciaga.. I didn't think she suited it at all.
+ does anyone know the song where Wilhelmina and Daniel arrived at the shot? It sounded good.

I want to know who designed Lindsay's top in the last scenes at the photoshoot...anyway I liked her better in this ep. It turned out well, next week with Amanda moving in should be funny...
