I'm not really loving the first editorial posted... styled by
Joanna Thaw and photographed by
Sophie Delaporte
The images look a bit too washed out and "powdery" for my taste... if that makes any sense
The styling itself doesn't really do anything for me either
I like the Lanvin dress in the second picture but it like most of the other clothing in the editorial, is ruined for me because of the bad fit on the model...

none of these clothes look flattering to me and just seem to be bulky and hanging...
she doesn't represent fall's upcoming layering trend to it's best advantage imo
As for the Erin Wasson editorial styled by
Alison Edmond and photographed by
Alexei Hay... I have to say that I really liked it
I think Hay photographs the model and the clothes beautifully... I love the tone of the colors and the way the light hits her eyes and makes them look like they are on fire or like a lion's eyes

... really beautiful
Though the color palatte in the editorial is exclusively black there is so much variety going on in the shapes, styles, and textures of the clothing so that every look is unique and interesting...
The other thing I like about the styling is that many of the looks seem very wearable... if you saw Erin Wasson walking down the street in one of them you--or at least I

--would admire her style and the attitude and confidence with which she wears it
She looks cool and edgy without trying to hard or looking ridiculous..
It's difficult for me to choose a favorite look because I really like all of them
