Two issues into this magazine's creative revival, and I'm pleased with what I'm seeing - but part of me knows that magazines that suddenly decide to go 'hard-core high fashion' and experiment too intelligently with typography burn bright and then die on the newsstand. If that was the fate of those types of magazines back in the days when the internet wasn't a threat, what greater chance of survival do they have now?
I'm hoping this current incarnation of UK Harper's has a long future ahead of it, but as it stands, I think I may buy every issue in case it doesn't last.
