UK Elle December 06 : Kylie Minogue

Saw it in the shops this morning - a nice difference from the usual style of cover for UK Elle, with a solid black background, and a lovely-looking Kylie in red, smiling out at us.

I'll take some phone pics of cover and contents after I buy it later tonight.

Someone on ebay.co.uk has uploaded an image of the cover in their listing, so here it is, in the meanwhile... it looks better in real life, because in the store, it's up against the sea of white backgrounds that most other magazines have, so it stands out as something special. Nice glossy black, as well.

kylie looks very good in the photos for the interview too. And I like it how they've got her friend to interview her rather than a random reporter. Makes it more personal. I can't scan anything in because I am scannerless so sorry! Overall, I think this issue is quite good although I haven't looked all the way through.

The Kylie interview and pics are great but the rest is total rubbish. I used to like Elle but recently it has gone downhill.

The style of the cover is something I wish more magazines would follow - clean and simple, yet intriguing.

However, I must note that the headlines could use a bit of tweaking, as they do reek of teen magazine articles (not that there is anything wrong with that; I'm a fan of teen magazines myself).

The writers and editors themselves write as if they are teens. Have never known a magazine to name drop as much as Elle does.

Sorry Xone, I don't have a scanner, so I can't post good quality images! I can only post very poor shots from my phone, to give a vague idea of the content. I leave the scanning to the professionals, and when one of them gets their hands on this issue soon, no doubt they can help out with images from all the features.
