L for Elle. Looks VERY amateur, the photoshopping is comical, and the Michelle Williams hair doesn't work for Lily. They should've kept her recognisable for all those Emily in Paris fans.

I didn't know Elle readers would be interested in 'The race to save British theatre', sounds an interesting read.

Even photogenic people don't look good from that angle - and there's zero hint of anything 'festive' other than the coverlines. A missed opportunity, because even people who don't like fashion love to dress up for the holidays.

This Dec/Jan issue will span most of the time leading up to Christmas, so going straight for that clean, white New-Year-new-you vibe makes no sense. The February issue will be coming out by then.

I think UK Elle is now supposed to have 10 issues a year, but perhaps the goalposts will change again, and that'll be a combined Feb/Mar issue. Imagine putting out your March issue at the start of January.

Wonder how it will work because I doubt many brands would be happy to have their summer ads revealed ahead of time in January.

You need a strong or versatile enough talent to pull off that look,not sure this is the case. I do liked Lily at Vogue Arabia or L'officiel Art issue.

Ugh, after such a triumphant Michaela Coel cover, I was sat in such anticipation over this issue dropping but what a disappointment. I find Lily Collins inoffensive but the platinum blonde pixie, the styling and questionable angle from Danny Kasirye does nothing for her - or this cover.
