UK Elle September 2017 : Cara Delevingne by Kai Z Feng

Wow, thumbs up from me!!! The revamp, that is. It looks unlike anything on the newsstand and not very British at all. Very modern. And the styling looks stunning as well. It's just Cara with her awful hair which I'm not sold on.

Clean and straight to the point look, not a fan of Cara and the styling.

I like it. Very fresh.

The layout is a hit for me. I like it here. However, the only issue I have is, is this a layout that is flexible enough? Surely it works here, but what if it's an outdoor shot with a busy street as the background? Is it not too thin that it would disappear?

I agree with Benn, it's nothing like we usually see.

Also, what on earth is the text saying?

I hope the new editor shakes things up internally, so it could do the same externally. Edward needs someone to challenge him, if we want him to excel. Otherwise, complacency is a killer in the industry.

Romeo Beckham already getting covers? He looks great.

Jokes asaide, actually really like these. She works it, and her PR should get a raise she is getting tons of covers, despite another flop movie!

Funny you should mention this, the British press have already started to compare them since they're both tasked with revamping a magazine with solid sales figures. Last year's September issue sold tremendously well under Lorraine, so Anne Marie's got her work cut out for her.

I love the layout but what the hell are those coverlines?

Well it certainly different. I'm hoping AMC's comments about her decision to take ELLE back to what it once was turn out to be true. ELLE has had such high points in its past but in recent years they tried to seek out a weird 'cool' tween audience that I was absolutely not convinced by.

Love the layout, specially the font (ID?) and Cara´s new look and the styling work perfectly for the theme. I love it I love it I love it :D

It should be interesting to see what Anne Marie's Elle will look like if she doesn't go youth. I'm assuming last September sold well because of Kristen (who booked both Sep 2015 & 2016) and Zayn - youth fodder imo. While this one with Cara isn't much of a mature departure, I must say I like the execution. It's just so fresh.

Vogue also promised to go youth (in terms of direction), so that will leave the field clear for Harper's to monopolise the 35+ crowd. The ones who longer have sex, that is.

I liked it at first glance. but the more I look at it i find it quite messy. But the photos are gorgeous!

It's cerrtainly better than before. I feel like they could have styled Cara better though, I don't quite feel what they've done here.

Apologies if O/T but: having read the Valerian comics since childhood she is pretty much PERFECT as Laureline. I am so sad about the moving being a flop, it deserved success

Striking! I'm onboard with this new direction, even if the aforementioned issues with the fonts will be messy later on.

As long as I don't look too closely at what the words actually are, I like the cover. It's striking, and it's certainly the best version of 'the short-haired cover girl' that I've seen so far, if that's a trend for September magazines.

Horrible covers. She looks like a little boy, this haircut doesn't suit her at all.

Wow I'm actually impressed by the change in direction, may buy this which I didn't plan to. Very different from anything we've seen and its the first time I've thought Cara has looked good with that hairstyle.
