Standard sized copies are actually available at most newsagents immediately after the issue gets released, then it gradually gets replaced with the multipacks. At least it's like this in my area. Part of me fear for the day they'll do away with single issues because these multipack offers seem to be flying off the shelves. Don't mind them, but I'm not overfond of Red magazine to be honest.
Like the others, I'm also very taken with the new art direction. It reminds me of US InStyle's overhaul which I also liked a lot. Very neat. I'm keen to see how they'll deal with autumn imagery. Speaking of imagery, must say this is really one of the rare issues where all the the fashion campaigns aligned very closely to the in-house content. There's a lot of fashion and it's actually quite cohesive and further the aesthetic of the magazine.
The only aspect which concerns me is the lack of written content. While Lorraine herself was a bad writer imo, I do recall more articles under her reign. Anyway, I imagine that's to be expected when you install a stylist as the EIC.
