UK Vogue April 2012 : Sienna Miller by Ryan McGinley

Wow, the silly cover really does not do this issue any justice. Love the editorials. Sienna's ed is gorgeous, great to see something so different for a Vogue issue (and great to see Ryan McGinley being used).

Magda by Roversi is outstanding  Guinevere by Vanderperre is just beautiful and Moa Aberg fits Bruce Weber's aesthetic perfectly. This issue is a must have!

The shot of Sienna holding that trellis is awful, but aside from that I'm so surprised her editorial turned out so well.

I really like all the editorials in this, especially Bruce's.

Although I haven't even seen the FEBRUARY issue around in Canada yet, so who the hell knows when this will come.

I really love how Ryan McGinley captured Sienna's awkwardness on the cover. It's perfect.

Tender Is The Night is the highlight of the issue for me. Beautifully shot and simple, and her make-up is perfect.

I'm glad More Dash Than Cash is back to using a model too, however it was much better as an editorial... but at least it's not just pages of cut outs anymore.

Awesome issue:woot:, I love it even more than the last one. Siennas is my favorite, so dreamy and pretty:flower: but also really love Guineveres and Jokers Wild is fantastic love the styling:heart:, definitely picking this issue up

I´m disappointed at Roversi and Vanderperre´s editorials, I was hoping for something along their usual work lines... these seem so bland.

^ Tbh, Roversi's editorial kind of looks like an advertorial.

Most of the time, I'm one for new photographers being introduced, but McGinley's shoot is so mundane. The shot with the massed letters is horrendous. Almost laughable and embarrassing, for such an idea to end up in Vogue.

None of the stories inside are attractive. Roversi and Vanderperre are overrated, both are a complete bore. Josh Olins has become a favourite of mine, but I find The White Album too stark and cold. No doubt I'll find a page or two to appreciate at a later date.

This is a rather flat issue when it comes to arresting images, none of the eds are interesting, however i dont dislike Millers ed at all, and there is a lot of nice articles to read in there (funny Sienna's piece is nice, but some of her statements about privacy while talking about her pregnancy are so ridiculous!). In fact its a much more enjoyable issue than HBs, to me anyway.

This issue is like a nicely folded pile of fresh laundry. Very clean, very white, very spring, but perhaps a bit bland.

^^That shot is very very pretty.

It is strange but it reminds me very much of the PIRELLI "SEASONS" by Avedon from mid 90's, there is a topless portrait of Naomi with flying butterflies across the foreground.

Having said that, Naomi's skin was a beautiful contrast with the blue / colourful butterflies.

Sienna's portrait falls right flat in comparison.

Loove The Joker's Wild, very graphic and pretty.

The eds are very good in a while, Sienna looks gorgerous on her ed.

I think is one of UK Vogue's best issues for last months.
