UK Vogue November 2025 : Gwyneth Paltrow by Venetia Scott

Something is missing here…
And it’s the photography. It would have worked wonderfully with Teller’s old style. It needed to feel warmer than it is.
Personally, I do not think Teller could have made this shoot more warmer looking. Of course, I could be all wrong.

Not necessarily him but warmer tones.
The style of photography is too flat for the intention behind the story.

In a bad dream, maybe.

Another issue of UK Vogue that doesn't look like a keeper. I like it when Gwyneth does glam, but this type of joking-but-not-really editorial, I can do without. I'll read the interview, but I don't need this in my life for any longer than that.

It looks like a still from a Wes Anderson movie. I just wish the text color would've been different from white.

You are right. More play with the text color could have elevated the cover more.

Gosh I hate when magazines try to do that : try to be funny and gimmicky. I don't buy a FASHION magazine to look at silly photos, I want glamour, I need luxurious crazy expensive items, shot with top models or celebrities in out of this world settings looking demure and wealthy and serious. Not this. What I need and what's missing is Mario Testino / Patrick Demarchelier / Steven Meisel from 20 years ago, not this.

Just a set of nothing...
its no fun or ironic...

and the styling is to cry for...

And Anna approve this?...

With lack of big budgets and reshoot possibilities like in the past, I would say "Yes" she did.

I find both, Chloe and Gwyneth attractive! Even they are different types of beauty, like they're not the generic American blonde from the 80s/90s that we still have in mind. Chloe's appeal is hard to explain, but she's so magnetic. One of my favorite models of all time, even if she wasn't so popular as one. She took off as an actress and then "it girl". Gwyneth shared the same status in the late 90s, her beauty is more classic, very model-like, but still, so commercial that fits well for her role as an actor. I own her US Vogue September issue by Meisel, and the editorial is just flawless. The opening photo from that story is the most editorial pic that I have seen of her. And going back to Chloe, I'm looking for her Spanish Vogue cover. I'm sure I will buy it in a few months in Buenos Aires. It's so her!
