I didn't find a thread for this so here you go.

Review and all pictures from style.com

PARIS, October 3, 2005 – In a dark space lit by carved white votive candles, girls clothed in chopped-up rock T-shirts were wandering around in tall, draped medieval headdresses, declaring allegiance to someone called Klaus and the Amazing Tale of Zamiang. Had the audience in attendance stumbled unwittingly into the bunker-club ritual of some obscure underground cult?

The answer was yes and no. Tokyo hipster designer Jun Takahashi has inspired such a following that he is something of a cult leader. But afterward, to put enquirers out of their misery of guessing, he admitted he'd made it all up.

"I was imagining progressive-rock German bands," he said, which explained the gothic headdresses and the belts and headpieces made of chains. It also cleared up the mystery of those unidentifiable washed-out photos of album covers and the smashed-up vinyl singles used like punk paillettes on a T-shirtdress. Takahashi said that his extended riff on T-shirts was about "taking something simple and limited, and seeing what you can do with it." He sliced them up and pieced them into loose A-line dresses, turned them upside down to make dangly hip-wrapped skirts, then snipped off dozens of neck ribs and looped them onto tunics. In the light of day, none of it was too spookily out-there. But it was quite enough to keep his fashion believers kneeling at his feet.

Thanks for the pics, Bart. I'm loving this...love the whole slouchy look w/ the tees, the dark dark styling and background, so much attitude and EDGE, edge is key for me at this point in time. Takahashi is a genius and I can't wait to see how this will translate into the menswear collection. If only the stuff wasn't so bloody expensive...

The styling is a reminiscent of McQueen "Joan of Arc" collection...But the clothes are beautiful nonetheless...I

"Klaus" has got to be the most uncool German first name ever...lots of my friends' fathers and grandfathers are named Klaus. B)

Like the other poster said, this is a rehash of McQueen several seasons back, with tacky pseudo-gothic prints and accessories. Those skirts with half leggings I wore some 6 years ago.

I quite like about half of the looks. I appreciate all the slouchy, shorter skirts and dresses and I really enjoy the pieces made from the ripped collars of t-shirts, complete with tags and I love the chain head bands and all the eyelet trim but I can do without the leather leggings and spiked sandals.

Also, I'm totally in love with the '70s metal chick hair and the rather elfin parting over the ears.

I think I was expecting a lot more this season. I like it, but I'm not head over heels in love. Maybe it'll take some time, though.

Edt: I'm also loving the last few nunnish looks. Those are great.

I think it's awful  The wacky chains and painted boobs and candles are so cheesy in combination with those horrible screenprints.

50/50 on it...however, i think the majority of the clothing is amazing...some incredible detail & the fabrics look immense...

one of the best from Paris so far....

This is definitely a step back from the more tailored collection of F/W to the amature tshirtish stuff. And the best looks I like are so painfully Raf Simonish (capes, big patches with images and script that evoke a feeling of a youth rebel without saying anything concrete) that they can not be thought of other than being copies...
