I can't explain it, but Sofia reminds me of Chelsea Clinton on that 2015 cover. I miss the old layout of Elle America so much, the MANY articles, and an issue that would end the month before you'd even finished reading half of it. Now everything seems predictable, pre-defined, ehe "perspective" section is the only central point of a major article, and monthly it features weak profiles or equally irrelevant topics. The magazine has lost its substance, its no fun anymore. Even the Ask E. Jean column was a delight, even though everything sounded too crazy – maybe that was Robbie Meyers' balance.
I remember very well the first issue I bought – July 2008 with Mary-Kate Olsen on the cover. It was a different time, a different era, but everything seemed more rewarding to me - you paid and got the result somewhere within those pages; today everything is so aseptic in Elle's pages that it's as if the magic has gone away.
