US Elle March 2025 : Zoë Kravitz by Collier Schorr

The entire editorial was filmed at Economy Candy. Not a budget to be found in sight. Economy, indeed!

They used to have good covers under Nina, but they've been flopping for months now. This one in particular looks lazy.

The photographs are not cover worthy. However, I do like the images of Kravitz holding the lollipop and with the rainbow candy necklace.

Somehow I enjoy Elle France, even at its most pedestrian, but American Elle just does nothing for me. Even if it can be objectively better than Bazaar and Vogue, it’s weird. I can’t put my finger on why, either.

Elle US has some strong (relatively speaking) issues here and there, but the worst issues of Elle are much worse than then the worst of HB or Vogue, if you ask me.

They could have done something really fun and colourful with the candy background, but instead they did... this. Why did they bother with the candy?

This looks like someone stole a piece of her candy and now she's plotting her revenge.

This shoot totally gives me vibes of Zoey Deutch's 2019 Cosmopolitan cover but instead of a candy shop disaster, she's in a supermarket and honestly, I think this one is way better!images (35) (3).jpegimages (35) (4).jpegimages (35) (1).jpegimages (35) (2).jpeg

At their worst Vogue and Bazaar just make me think "good lord, what ARE they thinking? RIP magazines." Elle just bores me, even when it's bad!!
