What is going on with Cass Bird? Her work for Porter mag was always so fresh and fun but what she's doing lately has been such a bummer.

For starters, she's working with a stylist who probably wanted Collier Schorr but couldn't get them.
Can't believe the cover was styled by the editor. It seems Samira is trying to compete not with Vogue or Elle, but with WSJ and see if she can out-intellectualise them. Little does she know WSJ rotate their stylists. There's no singular 'aesthetic' which is the quickest way to bore readers. Especially if it's this unevolved.

I could only ever tolerate Collier's work for Luomo Vogue, maybe Another Man every now and then.
As for Vincent Gallo, . Yes you can be the irreverent 'serious' actor who only takes on cool projects, but you don't have to be nasty about it. Just look at Ben Whishaw! Gallo said some tasteless things about Spike Jonze. On record. About Sofia Coppola too, and he never apologised.

He's openly racist. The guy is nuts. Such a shame. He even has a VI cover by Meisel under his belt. Talking about Bazaar again, I feel terrible for the people involved (make up artist, hair dressers, etc) that make a great job, but the edition kills their work and it's incredible unfair.
