US Harper’s Bazaar September 2019 : Alicia Keys by Mario Sorrenti

Alicia is beautiful but thats one hell of a safe cover. Christy looks good but something off with the pose

Not that they will have a big choice, but I can't wait to see which covers are international editions going to run.

I don't want to be rude. But I'm tired of this random celebrity covers to sell advertisings. A good timeless photo does and darling, this is not the case. They have such a pretty woman and they use this ad paid dress in a cheap pose? So sad.

Looking at Carine's editorial as reprinted in UK Bazaar, they probably ended up using Alicia for the cover because it was one of the few shots without excessive blurring.

Alicia's dress looks like a welders apron?!
Why would anyone buy this magazine?

Sorry to say, but that dress looks terribly unflattering on Alicia. And for a cover too! Dont care for her cover. Christy should have gotten the main cover instead but I'm sure they would've messed up the art direction.

The edit is a snoozefest. Tired of Celine and this 'fierce fashunn queen' hype which surrounds her, Sorrenti was never for me, and Carine really isn't even trying anymore. How can Hearst not see that she's ripping them off with a cast made up of supers we see every other month and a bunch of celebrities clamoring for fashion acceptance (except Regina), or are they that desperate for big HF names that they'll take this crap?!?

Benn, you are questioning the executive decision of a company that employs Glenda Bailey. That’s the answer right there. Hehe

This looks like it was from 10 years ago. Horrible, especially the hair.

I’m reminded of Mullet once revealing that she only looked at American Vogue because she picked it off the ground from the street. I would just step over American Bazaar if I ever saw it on the ground. I don’t even bother to DL since it’s a waste of bandwidth… I weep at this vomit they're trying to pull off as “art direction”. And LOL @ Deep Freeze looking like some ModelMayhem shoot circa2006 (albeit with a budget. Poor Tom’s label being tarnished by the inclusion of his dress in such a 5th-grade production of Frozen). And LOL++++ @ that Emily shoot: She looks so deadpan useless although I’m sure they were going for provocative/alluring/shocking.

Glenda’s Bazaar is the gift that keeps on being regifted. I feel a little bad for always laughing at her product. But she makes it so easy.

Thanks Benn for the lulz
