US Harper's Bazaar June/July 2015 : Emilia Clarke by Norman Jean Roy

I really want to like this, but it looks too overwrought. It's all the feathers. Still, I'm glad Emilia booked this.

I actually can't work out how I feel about this cover. I think I like it, but then I also think it's a bit much. Maybe it's the contrast of that dramatic outfit and all the feathers against the sea and sky, it feels a bit mismatched.

Agree with everyone, a little bit over-the-top and hokey, looks like stills from a Game of Thrones video game advertisement.

I like it.... the hair and makeup are simple enough to contrast with the dress. Those cover lines though! are they even worth mentioning anymore? I'm just happy Norman has taken over from the awful Terry.

I'm not crazy about what she's wearing but overall it's a gorgeous cover, Emilia looks absolutely gorgeous! Next up, US Vogue!

Emilia looks more beautiful here than in her UK Vogue spread, with that said, I'm forcing myself to like it because it's lovely but there are things that I really dislike and can't seem to get over with:

a. the overall scheme looks like Anna's cover last month. The background, the text, the mood. It's sad to see something this beautiful rely on lazy. Putting the two covers side by side just scream 0 creativity. They knew last month was a hit and why not rely on lazy and safe and repeat that formula again?
b. the styling is too heavy for me. There's a detach between the softness of the background and the fullness of the styling. It's just too heavy for a cover. It's like they wanted her on a beach background to fit June and have her wear something heavy and dark for July. The feathers are suffocating me and that's not how fashion magazines should sell clothes.

As for the editorial and the subscribers' cover... one word - MESS. The cover seemed it had a potential for a beautiful spread and we have this. The shots are just beyond laughable. What a big joke. Her on that tree? Come on Glenda! And that horse, how fake could it get!? And for heaven's sake, you have the gorgeous Emilia and you don't even have her looking at the camera. Is this Bazaar Horse?

Is it a joke? They really did the same cover that last month? Sometines they just do the stupidest choices, I'm sorry.

Look, I think this is a good cover. Yes there are many issues here, but we shouldn't be so harsh, at least they somewhat tried.

From the thumbnail I seriously thought it was Miley Cyrus on the cover! A great shot of Emilia nonetheless, certainly more attractive than her Vogue cover but I'm still not overwhelmed. Emilia's edit is horrific, as is the cover for subscribers. The issue better have something more substantial and serious to offer.

It's even wores than Vogue UK! I can't believe what they did her. She need something differnt. The styling is terrible.

I like the color scheme but yeah, that over the top styling is overkill... I think the editorial is great though, so much fun :)
Can anyone ID the dragon dress, please?

I'm sorry but how is replicating last month's cover a sign of them trying? There's 0 novelty about this cover. Everything about it is the exact same Glenda x Bazaar formula so I really don't see the effort.
