US Vanity Fair April 2005: Eastern Euro Supermodels

Hi everyone, I'm new. I was watching the Today Show this morning and they showed the cover of the new Vanity Fair titled The New Supermodels. I could only make out Karolina, this is the International Best Dressed List issue. Any scans? Anyone see it yet?

"Saw it on ET tonight. 9 supermodels - Natalia, Carmen, Carolina, Eugenia, Hana, Marija V, Natasha Poly, Valentina Z and ?Tiiu? (not sure about the last girl) will all be in Vanity Fair spread, on the beach, wearing white similar bikinis. Those girls are hardly supermodels, exept for maybe Karolina, Carmen and Eugenia. But I can't wait to see this new Vanity Fair.

The coverline is something along the lines of "Meet the new Eastern European supermodels!" So Liya and Daria don't make the cut. I think Vanity Fair is a tad late on the whole Russian model thing. Those girls have been ruling the roost since the late 90's.

This will be really good, I like all these girls and it will make a beautiful cover. I only wish (from my own tiny perspective) that they would have included Diana Dondoe and Polina.

the theme is that russia & eastern europe is producing tons of models now, which is true.
I believe poly & valentina are inside the mag.

demarchelier shot the pics. theyre pretty good, a lot of running in the surf. i like the white bikinis. however the art direction has a montage layout making a lot of the pics really small. If i was given the chance to art direct this story in a fashion mag, I would have used full page individual pics, including full length shots of these girls incredible bodies. white bikinis is one of my fave looks. everyone looks good but standouts are valentina, marija, poly and prob eugenia.
they spell eugenias name as "EUGUENIA" the whole time maybe thats the correct spelling?
actually marija has the tip top best combo of great beauty with a body that is out of this world. but valentina imo has the most beautiful face of these girls, she really photographs amazingly.
i think this is a good article for VF cos it uses some newer girls & is actually fairly accurate in naming russian/east euro girls as a happening model trend. they had to use carmen natalia & karolins as theyre the most famous but we know that the other girls are actually much hotter in the business now. Its cool they used inguna, poly, marija & valentina, their careers just got a huge boost & Ive loved all of them from the first pics I saw of them.
given the needs of VF, this is an excellnt article & I think all model fans will be happy with it.

The funny thing is......when you think about it, Daria should be there because she's of "eastern european" descent. And she's todays no.1 High Fashion Model.
