US Vogue August 2012 : Marion Cotillard by Peter Lindbergh

Funny how Anne Hathaway is supposedly the main female character in Dark Knight, yet Marion is getting all these big covers. This is quite boring, but unlike on her VParis cover, at least Marion looks beautiful.

Looks like Bruce Weber did the Patti Hansen shoot?

Maybe because they're saving Anne for Les Misérables or something.

Anne has chopped her hair off for Les Mis, so unless she was photographed before that (and she did do at least one cover a few weeks before) ... she may not be very photogenic atm.

marion is so beautiful, but it's a bit boring. that last image however is truly stunning.

I could do without the photos of her in the hat and "dancing," I wish the editorial was more similar to the fourth shot in the street.

The styling is quite good, but the aesthetic in general of the shoot seems very stale and dated. They need some new blood and they need to show Anna Wintour the door. Everything they have been doing for the past two years or so has been impossibly mediocre, and to no ones surprise, it gets worse with each issue.

It is repetitive but she looks so gorgeous we can forgive it.

She looks so youthful and fresh in the pic outside.

the ed is much better than that bore of cover, but nonethless she's really beautiful

I like the ed. The last shot would`ve been a perfect cover

Editorials

Anything Goes (12p)
Photographer: Bruce Weber
Models: Patti Hansen & her family
Description: Typical Weber. It's like the sun, sand and sea version of Raquel's editorial that was shot earlier. Hippie-inspired styling as far as I can see.

Carribean Queen (4p)
Photographer: Norman Jean Roy
Models: Joan Smalls with her father, Eric Rodriguez, and sisters, Erika and Betsy
Description: Photographs taken on quaint streetcorners with Joan dancing. I think its meant to evoke the Caribbean roots of the model and her family. Its nice to see her family. Her sisters are beautiful too!

The Great Escape (8p)
Photographer: Peter Lindbergh
Models: Tatjana Patitz and her son
Description: Shot on location at her 20-acres Californian ranch. Tatjana looks wonderful as ever, and potrait shots done by Lindbergh are always natural and simple and spot on. This would be something her son would treasure as he grows older.

Steal Of The Month
Photographer: Sebastian Kim
Model: Brit Marling
Description: Brit wears a Tory Burch dress. Nice shot with a pool in the foreground and greenery in the background. Hair's a little bit unkempt.

What To Wear Where The Go Bag (6p)
Photographer: Raymond Meier
Model: Karlie Kloss
Description: Typical Meier accesories shoot. Similar to Arizona's editorial in one of the previous issues. Another editorial that Meier shot with the model having a very bad wig. The hair is dirty blonde and shoulder length and looks like its been primmed and then not washed for days.

Patti's and Tatjana's eds sound great, but am I the only one who thinks the contents are a little bit on the short side?

Oooh I'm looking forward to the Tajana Patitiz feature. She seems to be a "forgotten" supermodel.

Nice to see Tatjana Patitz in america vogue as an editorial.
Looking foward to see her and her son.
