US Vogue January 2012 : Meryl Streep by Annie Leibovitz

I never thought I would see Meryl on the cover of Vogue so this is a wonderful surprise; however, I wish the cover was slightly better. Considering she is such an icon, and that she has never been on the cover before, I wish I could say that the image is stellar... oh well.

I agree with the last few posts. Beach, beach, beach every issue. So sick of it!
I love anna for finally putting meryl on a cover but this is just not pretty. They could have done something better with the hair.

LOVE Meryl! So happy to see her on the cover. Will definitely be buying this issue!!

Fantastic way to start the year with a worthy cover star. Meryl should have been on the over countless of times, but I am just happy she is finally getting a cover. Meryl Streep and regal go hand in hand

^they really are boring, as much as I love Meryl it would have been so much better to put her in some more colorful clothes....

her editorial is very boring and bland..wish they could do more with Meryl like what they've done with Charlize

The last shot is wonderful, i feel like this spread is more something they might do with some Politician featured, instead of the cover subject, but its not surprising considering who she plays in the movie.

OK may I say that this spread is the biggest BONER KILLER EVER !?!?!:angry:

Good to see Meryl Streep on a Vogue cover but I seriously like nothing about this cover. The dress is horrid, the setting and the pose are boring and Meryl doesn't look her best. The editorial is equally boring. It's all very Vanity Fair (except for the nasty pink masthead)

Am I looking at Vanity Fair or Vogue? Where's the fashion? We all know Meryl is capable of pulling off fashionable clothes (Devil Wears Prada).

They were probably trying to go for a natural look, but this isn't working. Meryl deserves so much better. This is just lazy and half ***ed

Seems to me that originally Meryl's feature was only for inside this issue and that the decision to put her on the cover was last minute.

Fantastic cover but the editorial is really bad
