US Vogue June 2014 : Charlize Theron by Mario Testino

Cara's ed is beyond lackluster. But on another hand, Team Brazil is stealing the whole show with only one page. I only hope they replace Cara's ed with it instead. And she should definitely learn how to model from Raquel. That's how it's done.

The thought of Charlize Theron covering an issue of Vogue kept me going for a few months, but I'm disappointed with the outcome. I also dislike the use of the Dior dress which is far too dark for a summer cover. A white dress would of brought a certain freshness. Theron was wearing a white or cream dress in the candids from the shoot and she looked amazing. Don't get me wrong, she looks fantastic here, but I was wanting so much more. I hope Testino's cover story shows signs of promise.

How brilliant to see Steven Meisel photograph for US Vogue, once again! Even if it is only the one photo. It doesn't even matter because Meisel's one photo is stronger than Lindbergh's entire story with Caroline. Quality over quantity, I guess.

It amazes me how Anna scrapped Daria Werbowy's venice shoot by Mert & Marcus, but keeps Cara's shoot with a bear. The whole story looks pointless - no words other than that to describe it. Sometimes I understand Cara's appeal and then I just think she's a phase and will soon fade out. Testino's pictures don't exactly do her justice here.

The full edit looks much better than the boring cover .I dont't understand why they choose this pic for cover

^LOVE the cover story. So much better than the cover itself. Charlize looks stunning in every shot!

The cover story is indeed much better than the cover itself. I don't understand why the picked the worst picture as the cover. The last shot is especially incredible. Gorgeous location as well.

The cover shoot is indeed an improvement but it's dreadfully dull in fashion terms. I hate when they treat summer shoots like this, it bores me to tears looking at a plain black swim suit, no matter how beautiful Charlize looks.

^ I feel the same way, some nice shots, but overall nothing exciting, at all.

US Vogue is so repetitive right now that I think they should hire Gilles Bensimon or Hans Feurer and go "retro", the eds would look a lot more current that what they do now.

The cover is not doing much for me and I am not sure how I feel about Charlize's editorial. The styling is boring me to tears but I really shouldn't expect the celebrity editorial to be a vehicle for the more interesting/unique pieces from the collections. The rest of the issue falls flat as much as I enjoy the Meisel photograph and Louis Garrel. Hopefully some articles are interesting.

Im just so annoyed that they are styling Fall, Pre-fall and Spring collections together.

Stores barely have all their SS14 Stock in and they are using dresses they will receive in late sept/oct on a June cover which is released in May.....WHY.

Its lazy styling imo and very bad decisions from the brands. Relying on the gimmick of "New Clothes" instead of using some of the great pieces in different ways from the current season.

We will all be bored of that dress or the "Key pieces" by the time it comes to actually having the opportunity of buying them.
