The problem with US Vogue is that it's trying to appeal to the average everyday person, not someone who is heavily interested in the world of fashion.And it seems that a majority of average every day people in america are obsessed with celebrity culture.I guess though it works out for the models and designers, they get recognition where it truly matters, the international scene.

There's a large article on Wendy Deng (Power Partner) by Sally Singer. Coco Rocha, Raquel Zimmermann and Jessica Stam (only in one shot though?) appears in one of the spring eds with Caroline T (Craig McDean).

Karen Elson + Casey Affleck in 50s inspired shoot by Grace Coddington, shot by Mario Testino.

Channing + Caroline - by Steven Klein.

There's also an article on Benazir Bhutto (Power Crisis) by Janine di Giovanni.
Drew Barrymore is 'Power Presence' - odd, she only seems to get two shots.
Barbara Walters is 'Power Player'.
The painter Kristin Baker is 'Power Painter'.
Leighton Meester and Blake Lively are 'Power Princesses', with two shots and an article over two pages!
Stefano Pilati is 'Power of One' (written by Sarah Mower). Actually in the main shots Caroline T is also used...

'Power Houses' is about new designers at fashion houses eg Valentino, Halson, Bill Blass. Liya K is used for the accompanying shots.
