HAHA I was presently surprised as to how much I enjoyed seeing again.

I kind of knew this issue would resurface with the recent events but it looks like Anna is still trying to pretend she never teamed up with Assad's PR despite warnings, and Vogue is still restricting access to A Rose in the Desert on their website, so.. happy to see the links here are still working! 🕺... nothing out of character and they have always done political stuff masked as 'lifestyle', but this is important and a nice glimpse of their internal dynamics (from the decision to engage with Syria's PR, the subsequent firing of Joan Julie Buck and throwing her under the bus to.. having learned nothing from the experience), especially for those who buy into the surface (a lifestyle and inspirational article) and immediately opt for the 'it's not that deep!' defensiveness whenever Vogue is accused of dishonest political stances and of wanting at all costs a place in debates concerning social issues just because it's profitable and regardless of how irresponsible it may be.
