US Vogue March 2020 : Billie Eilish by Hassan Hajjaj, Ethan James Green, Harley Weir & Nastya Kovtun

The only thing that distinguishes this from any good issue put out by most editions of Marie Claire is this magazine's ability to get top models and two shots from Steven Klein.

I looked at this three times just to try and see what the others saw in this that's so great (no malice intended!), but I just couldn't. Maybe the Jamaica story? But then Txema Yeste went there twice within six months for Numero and brought back amazing work each time. Kendall's edit also looks solid, but that's mainly on the styling. Otherwise for what this is, a March issue, I'd say it's underwhelming.

Birgit's editorial was really cool I wish it was more than just two images!

This has turned up on newsstand.co.uk (a speedy import!) and you can take your pick from the first three covers.

Those David Sims and Daniel Jackson stories are the best fashion content I've seen from American Vogue in months. I've fawned over cover after over of late but the content has been seriously lacking - until now. Hell... I've even taken a liking Kendall Jenner's story! A solid SOLID issue.

Nice editorials (but too predictable for Vogue US). How many pages does this issue have again?

Huh, I wonder what those sustainability editors think about that.

I personally didn’t notice the paper being higher quality. Perhaps they mean just on the cover? It’s a foldout cover, so they perhaps used a slightly thicker paper stock for that. But the inside paper seems standard to me. Also so far this year I’ve been getting my issues delivered without the plastic packaging, which I personally am finding annoying, but I guess they are trying to walk the walk a bit as regards the Vogue Values virtue signaling.

I’m thrilled that I was able to get myself the Ethan James Green cover! My copy arrived earlier today and while I haven’t noticed a change in the paper quality, I did immediately notice a decline in the cover paper - that it now scratches and marks very easy. Anyone else noticed this?

Three copies turned up in my store, and while I liked how colourful the first cover shot looked, they were all scratched to hell and back. Yet French Vogue was pristine. How could all these copies of US Vogue get so mangled?

I also noticed the white spine extended some distance around to the back page i.e. just how many ad pages or other content was missing from these export copies.

That Kendall editorial bores me to death. This girl can't model in group shot let alone a solo editorial.

On another note, I quite enjoy Sim's editorial.
