The content of this issue is fantastic.

This is one of my favorite issues, that editorial with Kate is so beautiful.
You just don't get em like that anymore.

Kate's ed is one the best editorial of the 1990s (though it was the end of the 1990s) ...
Kate is phenomenal, the photog' are phenomenal ...
everything is perfect ...

though i never understood why De la Renta was there among the Paris Haute Couture people ....

maybe someone with a better memory clear my mind ....
but when exactly PDD enter the world of Fashion ? was this editorial a way of promoting PDD as a Fashion Lover ?

everything is soo political in Vogue US ...
that's insane !

I think this is around the same time Sean John started blowing up.
Expect to see something like this with Kanye soon!

^Kanye has been gay-bashed by South Park ... he cannot hit Vogue US ...
:lol::lol:

but if you are a fan he is in the latest Arena Homme +

If Annie's photography was still like that I wouldn't mind seeing her almost every issue of Vogue US... Actually, I would look forward seeing it.
Great issue indeed :heart:

I think it was because Oscar de la Renta was head of Balmain Couture.

Love Kate's ed. Normally I'm not too fond of Annie's work. But when once again she manages to amaze me.

I like the cover as well.

Thanks for posting.

Didn't he used to be Balmain's designer at that year? I remember seeing a Haute Couture collection from Balmain made by him around this time.

*edit* Ops, I hadn't seen your reply mikel.

this information did remain stucked somewhere in my brain, i guess ...
as i have partly forgot balmain had been done couture ...

He's already hit US Vogue and HARD!
Usually every month in the FLASH section they feature a "Girl Of The Moment"
This time the title was changed to "Man Of The Moment", (He is the first)
and it featured him in amazing outfits during Fall Fashion Week.
From Margiela Jackets to Jeremy Scott Sweaters!
:woot::woot:
I'm a HUGE fan btw. So thanks for letting me know!^_^

Is That Hanne Gaby in the second last shot in the Couture editorial?!..Who am I kidding, but who is she?

You're welcome.
I can't imagine someone like Oscar de la Renta designing for Balmain. But I guess back then no one could imagine what Balmain represents today.

Thanks Mikel!
And I agree with youn in reference to your Balmain statement.
Fashion really has come a long way from ODLR for Balmain!

Bring Back Yves Saint Laurent Couture!!
