US Vogue September 2008 : Keira Knightley by Mario Testino

Like they say, how come Knightley's hair is so unkempt?

The most terrible thing is how could Anna Wintour approve the cover? :(

Okay, the hair is absolutly horrible and bugging me so much. How could Anna let this cover go out?
On the other hand I enjoyed the August issue so I am going to give this a try. The preivews look good, but only "good" not excellent. :ninja:

does she actaully have short hair on the cover? or is it tyed back?

oh the self reflection editorial looks quite interesting! and caroline just looks....stunning!

i looked up a second time ... i don't like the fact we're seeing the belts too much ... her hand isn't placed right ! the bracelets are too much, as well ...

btw finally someone thats exceptional(well to me) in a vogue cover. her hair looks sooo creepy like she's going bald ugh. but other than that love the balenciaga outfit. ok cover in all :)

What do you mean finally? This is her 4th damn cover within 2 years, and the others have been just as awful!

oh no i meant as of lately. it's always boring boring boring and well finally someone that's somewhat interesting

I love Keira, and she can do no wrong in my opinion:blush:, but I just don't quite understand how so many magazines that feature her get it so wrong... style and/or makeup-wise. This cover would be great if it was a different, perhaps edgier photo, straight hair, more intense eye makeup - with the same outfit. What on earth, people...?:rolleyes:

I think that with her, Vogue US has only gotten it right once, and that was the African-inspired shoot.

the contents look fabulous, however!!

I like the styling and the colours. I don't know why people are surprised Kiera looks hideous, since it is a long-standing Vogue US tradition to ugly up their cover subject as much as they can.
However, the worst thing on the cover as to be that dated, amateurish looking font. I am resigned about the amount of text but that font is the cheapest thing ever. You would never guess it is a luxury fashion magazine, even Glamour looks more expensive.

There are some eds I am looking forward to, for once.

BOOOOOOOOOOOORIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGG Issue! I want a new US Vogue Editor in chief! It's time to Mrs Wintor to go out of that office.

Weird cover as usual...but this time...it's terrible...I mean I've never seen a pic of Keira like this
She's beyond UGLY!And not only because of the hair, look at the eyebrows!
It's quite shocking that the most important fashion magazine in the world has this horrible cover!
I love Sasha ed...she looks so charming and royal!
Don't care about all the other eds except for the Amber Valetta one...seems very promising...and please Anna as much I love Coco...stop using her and Caroline in Vogue US...they're becoming BOOOORING!!!(you still can use Sasha because I love her )

I've been reading US Vogue for nearly 30 years, and I have never seen a more disappointing September cover than this one. Awful in every way. Major let down. Look forward to this all year every year and this is the best cover they could come up with? Wintour has got to go.

Oh, Coco's and Sasha's editorials look AMAZING, especially Sasha's! Amazing, really. She looks like a painting.

I am actually not feeling the Klein editorial. I don't know why, but I am not liking it. Faux edgy, trying so hard to be mysterious.

The cover is mostly a wreck, I do like the choice of Balenciaga, though!! Keira can be quite beautiful, I don't like her but even I can admit it, but this is just bad.
