The hair looks like something Odile Gilbert would do.. I kinda like it.. it gives that overexposed collection a more decadent feeling.
I actually like all of it.. I'm probably in an ultra-positive mood today but I'm sure the reaction would be dramatically different is there was a tiny 'Paris' somewhere between the O letter in "Vogue"..

the content also looks like it could rival any other magazine's content (maybe not Another Magazine but easily Número) and that's saying a lot for US Vogue's standards...

I wonder how bad were last year's sales for September issues that made publications work extra hard this time around.. looks like everyone's on a fierce contest for delivering outstanding material.. and I couldn't be happier. or poorer.

It would ceirtanly not be different, an awful cover is an awful cover, end of!I think we are all adult enough here not to act as silly as you suggest and parise something without actually liking it.
I dont care if its American,Japan or any other Vogue edition i will give credit where its due and imo this is one of the worst September and Vogue covers i have ever seen in my life and i have been reading US Vogue.etc since i was 7.This is not Vogue worthy cover imo, its Marie Claire level, but its nice to see you like it.

I do however agree that the content looks wonderful.

Personally i find the make-up more offensive than the hair,her eyebrows are beyond bad but its an overall bad cover image imo, specially for the biggest fashion issue of the year, unacceptable.If i wasnt subscribed i wouldn't buy it, i cant understand someone thought this cover would be appealing to the buyers when they approved it.
And the photoshoop job is the last straw, i dont know what is going with US Vogue this year its like; lets see what we can do to make the next cover worse than the last.

Paltrow looked ghastly on hers, as did Drew whose face looked like it will melt, and dont get me started on SJP's or Kate's,its worse bad and ugly.

- i knew they wouldnt disappoint me! numerology much!
anyway, i dont like the cover styling, the balenciaga look looks like a random tatters hanging on keira, especially with that shiny thing in the background, appearing like some sci-fi plastic waste recycling yard - which goes perfectly with the hair, mmm

about the eds, nothing much thrilling for me, maybe a couple of shots from that steven klein edit do it for me, especially that one with stam, where they're wearing sequined dresses etc..., but not the whole thing, it feels somewhat david lachapelle here and there , which is uncomfortable... meisel's edit looks good, as always

meh... to each his own.
