V #77 Summer 2012 : Ke$ha by Inez & Vinoodh

NOW PREPARING HER SECOND RECORD—WITH A NEW, RAW SOUND—
KE$HA MIGHT BE ROCK AND ROLL’S NEW HOPE
Are they serious? Either they're just 2 years behind or those people have no taste

I agree that the cover is not as bad as it could have been with that cover subject but I still don't like it. It looks clown-ish. And I'm also not a fan of the American theme because it's so played out.
The editorials all look seriously boring so far, too. I think I might I just don't 'get' this magazine, I rarely ever like anything I see in it :ermm:

I honestly think that the cover is good. I mean, I know that it's a normal thing for Ke$ha to be having such kind of make-up, et al. But there's just something to it that I can't pinpoint out yet. But they could have chosen someone better to front their Americana issue cover than her to be honest. Like an american model or an american actress who hasn't yet graced a V cover.

MY Gosh this is painful to look at... especially Carolyn's editorial... All AMerican editorial is kind of boring but at least they all look really beautiful especially Elaine...

The cover is striking but mainly because it's a close-up of a face not due to the exciting cover star. Hopefully, other editorials will be better, because judging from what has been posted already, this issue is painful to look at.

i love this! (mainly because i'm obsessed with the american flag, but still...) i only wish they would have used someone else, perhaps karlie kloss.

seriously? ke$ha? the only redeeming quality about her was that she didn't have fashion people falling all over her, now i guess V is trying to change that? yuck. out of all the american pop stars we have...

i like kesha, even though i would never listen to her music. she seems down to earth and a good sport. if the flaming lips think she's cool then she's cool in my book.

and i cant think of any celebrities that would agree to do a face paint cover like this...they have too much vanity.

V is done and so is Kesha! The concept and realization is really bad, only Murphy's editorial is worth looking at the mag

All is ok but WHY Kesha?????? shes not relevant

I liiiiiiiiike it! It's a pretty cool cover, Ke$ha's a good fit for V if I'm honest...

The thing is that the actual image is great but why did they use someone so irelevant? I would rather see Gaga again

I hate the cover the flag makes her face shape look odd the pics inside r ok coz she has a nice body and doesnt look too bad

Ke$ha is my guilty pleasure. I'm digging the cover, editorial and poster.

All is ok but WHY Kesha?????? shes not relevant

Here we go again with is so and so relevant or not. Ke$ha is on the cover because her in-progress second album is soon to be out. To me this isn't a big deal her being on the cover to be honest as she isn't overexposed so I have no issues.

The "Free Ke$ha Poster Inside!" teaser is cynical and poking fun at Americana, is it not?

To me, that line reminds me of those trashy music magazines I would buy when I was teenager, which always came with posters of the popular stars and bands of the moment that you'd decorate your bedroom walls with (really the only reason you bought the mags at all). Considering it's Ke$ha I think it fits here, and I appreciate the irony (unintended though it may be).

I'm not a fan of Ke$ha nor shoddy face paint, so this cover doesn't excite me in any way, but the Dsquared dress in that material is d-i-v-i-n-e.

Bad issue! Keisha, really??? Also, what a tacky ed with Carolyn, but I can totally see Rhianna in it. :innocent:
