V #80 Winter 2012 : Scarlett Johansson by Jean-Paul Goude

Interesting to pick a women who's about to get brutally murdered as the cover girl for the Girl Power issue.

But it's a very striking image. I like it. Jean Paul Goude as always did a great job.

What a fantastic image, their best cover in years i would say. Love everything about it!

Ive never realised how crooked her bottom teeth are. I like that they didn't photoshop them straight. It seems quite a raw image...I applaud that.

Agree with everyone here, such a nice and original take on that Psycho scene. The shower curtain forming the V is brilliant, I hope the rest of the editorial is just as fun.

i'm not feeling the cover but does anybody know if there are more pics of Scarlett inside the mag?

I hadn't heard of this movie at all until see this cover...
can't wait to see it now actually.

V did a great job upping the anticipation for this film I would think..
so much cooler than all those Vogue covers of actresses dressed in character.

One of my favorite Scarlett covers to date. Simply amazing! can't wait to see the editorial!

new pic from the inside of the magazine... not a big fan of this one:

Something about that picture cracks me up, in a good way. I guess it's the contrast of her smiling like that in a sort of noir-ish setting with those shadows and that femme fatale outfit. It's kind of clever.

^It's making me crack up as well, the contrast is so good.. Anything else would have been completely forgettable. If it continues like this, it might be one of my favorite Scarlett editorials of all time.

You've absolutely nailed why the photo is so great; it's very memorable and funny.

Rihanna & Kate sure do look like they're about to fall asleep while having some girl-on-girl action.

You've summed up why I love that particular shot of Scarlett. It's so desirable.

The edit with Kate and Rihanna is a joke. They don't seem comfortable with each other, have zero chemistry and the photos are just staged. Jeez, I think this must be Kate's cheapest editorial in some time.

How bizarre. You'd think Rihanna and Kate would warrant a cover... but then when you see the pictures, it's understandable why it didn't make it to be a cover shot. Ouch.
