This show tells me this man has a huuuge ego. But I loved the show. There were moments where I thought, “oh we’re getting somewhere” and then out comes a man in a lace embellished top, nude underwear and knee high socks.

It’s hard to distinguish if he truly believes in some of this or just playing the game for viral moments. A good show with the same Alessandro tricks but they were more successful this go round. Cleaned up, streamlined.

I really liked look 8: the lace bustier that looks like the top of a dress with the bottom cut off, worn with jeans. 2000s Valentino is becoming popular in the vintage market, and this is exactly how I imagine it worn on the street.

Overall, this collection looks more Valentino than his previous show. I wish he would’ve leaned into the Guy Bourdin-esque makeup and styled the collection in a more refined way.

The set was a lot, however, there’s some solid clothes here.

Yes, he never changes his point of view, but I think a lot of y’all are getting distracted by the spectacle of the show. If you break each look down, there are great pieces here that really aren’t that dissimilar from what PPP did…

I also think it’s worth adding that even Valentino himself never thought the work he did was cutting edge, nor did he try to do theme based collections. He was always more interested in a wardrobe and pieces that woman can add in each season. If we follow that logic, there’s certainly plenty here that woman can work with.

Liked some looks, liked some casting and actually really liked the set. Again, not sure it matches with what I think of Valentino. But on its own it was nice and better than the previous outings.

I liked his work at Gucci, not convinced at all by his version of Valentino. Anyway... Valentino stopped existing for me as soon as Valentino Garavani stepped back from the helm of his namesake house.

I am so curious with Mr Valentino thinks about this collection, show, and AM in general. I don't know how long he is going to last here, but I hope not too long.

Mr Garavani is already happy that at least that orange man from the first campaign wasn't sent down the runway in some lacy pants like that elder model in the lacy top

Michele framed the show as a meditation on identity and intimacy. He described the public toilet as a “counter-place” that blurs the distinction between public and private, intimacy and exposure, calling it “a space where the ritual of caring for intimacies" exists. For him, it is a “proudly political” setting in its ability to subvert classification.

This guy has completely lost his mind. Talk about designer in an ivory tower. The pretentiousness! I can't. He really thinks he did something with that public toilet setting.

Let's be honest, most of these clothes are ridiculous and comical, apart from the few lace dresses that are probably taken straight from the archives. Michele wants to shock and "challenge" our perceptions of taste so badly but instead of being clever about it, it just comes off as gimmicky and boring and fodder for social media. Miuccia Prada he is certainly not.

Anyway, he will not last long that is clear, and this is mainly due to his weak accessory offer. In three / four seasons there has been not one convincing, signature shoe or bag. For men or women. At Gucci, he was supported by strong accessories which kept everything going financially, but at Valentino, what exactly is his "hitmaker" in terms of shoes or bags?
